Difference between "Tasa" and "Taza" in Spanish

Tasa

- In English it means: "rate, tax, fee, valuation".

Example 1:

La tasa de desempleo ha aumentado en los últimos años.

(The unemployment rate has increased in recent years.)

Example 2:

Pagar la tasa de recogida de basura.

(To pay the fee for garbage collection.)

Taza

- In English it means: "cup" and "bowl (toilet)".

Example 3: (cup)

Example 4: (bowl)

La taza del retrete es de loza.

(The toilet bowl is made of pottery.)
