Attention!
In Spanish, some colors may be with the adjectives "claro" and "oscuro".
Examples:
El pantalón es azul claro.
(The pants are light blue.)

El uniforme es verde oscuro.
(The uniform is dark green.)
Colors in Spanish always are male when they are nouns.
Example:
el azul, el verde, el amarillo, el rojo
(blue, green, yellow, red)
Like other adjectives, the names of the common colors in Spanish must agree with the nouns they describe in both gender and number.
Example:
El sombrero es negro y la falda es blanca.
(The hat is white and the skirt is black.)
There are several ways to use the colors in a sentence to describe something:
"Verb "ser" + color" when is a permanent quality.
Example:
Mi blusa es blanca.
(My blouse is white.)
"Verb "estar" + color" when isn't a permanent quality.
Example:
El cielo hoy está azul celeste.
(The sky today is light blue.)
"Noun + color" or "Color + noun" The colors generally go after the noun, but they are used before the noun when you want to bring out the color.
Examples:
Me regalaron una rosa roja.
(They gave me a red rose.)

Me gustan sus rojos labios.
(I like her red lips.)
Colors also can be nouns when they function as subject of the sentence.
Example:
El verde transmite paz y esperanza.
(Green color conveys peace and hope.)
